Case Studies

We break down the process behind some of our best work to give you an inside peek at our way of working.

Cavity block machining case study
Case Study 01

Manufacturing Cavity Block

We were entrusted with an intricate drawing for manufacturing a cavity block containing several demanding features — extremely thin slots, a submarine gate, pockets with minimum corner radius, and precise angular profiles. Our team devised a practical solution to manufacture the cavity block in ASSAB STAVAX material at 52–54 HRC, using a combination of wire EDM, sink EDM, high-speed CNC milling and precise surface grinding.

Tooling inserts and assembly case study
Case Study 02

Tooling Inserts & Assembly

The client required manufacturing of several tooling inserts and assembling them, including blue-matching of angular sliders, inserts stacking within a 5-micron tolerance, and angular finger-cam matching. The job was successfully completed on time and passed the tight drawing tolerance requirement of the customer on the first submission.

Case Study 03

CALMAX Material Mould Insert Blocks

Several CALMAX material mould insert blocks with multiple core pin holes of 0.5mm diameter, held to a 5-micron tolerance, were completed successfully using precision wire EDM operations — demonstrating our capability for extremely fine-feature tooling work.

Case Study 04

4-Axis Simultaneous Machining

We were entrusted with the task of developing an innovative material-conveying solution in food-grade plastic. Our team achieved the required spiral track on our 4th-axis CNC mill, using simultaneous 4-axis movement with a micro boring head mounted on the spindle — solving a genuinely tricky geometry problem.

Stainless Parts for a Packaging Machine

A bakery client approached us for development of an automatic packaging machine, which was manufactured, assembled, tested and later installed onsite by our team. Most parts, made in food-grade stainless steel, were machined on our CNC mills and large-format surface grinder to achieve the high-precision movements required by the pneumatic pistons.

Titanium Machining

We have built strong working knowledge in machining and welding Titanium Grade II & Grade V. Through hands-on experience, our team has learned the productivity secrets needed to confidently deliver top-quality titanium CNC machining, even on demanding geometries.
